At Urban Logistics TMG, we believe that a shipment is only as secure as the carrier hauling it. As a federally authorized freight broker (MC# 1730485), we take our responsibility to our shippers seriously. We don't just "book loads"— we build a network of elite transportation partners through a rigorous, multi-layered vetting process.
To ensure your freight is in the best hands, we combine the industry’s leading automated compliance technology with our own high-standard proprietary audit.
We utilize Truckstop’s RMIS (Registry Monitoring Insurance Services)—the gold standard in freight compliance—to provide real-time oversight of every carrier in our network. This integration allows us to maintain a "Zero-Gap" compliance policy:
Technology is our first line of defense, but our proprietary vetting process is what truly sets us apart. Our team performs a "deep dive" on every new carrier before they ever see an Urban Logistics rate confirmation.
Vetting doesn’t end at onboarding. We treat every load as a new opportunity to verify quality:
The Urban Logistics Guarantee: When you partner with us, you are gaining more than just a truck. You are gaining a vetted, monitored, and proven transportation solution backed by the best technology in the business.

Most freight brokerages stop at a basic automated background check. At Urban Logistics TMG, we know that true supply chain security requires a physical, administrative, and operational audit. Before a single wheel turns with your freight, every carrier must pass our uncompromising vetting matrix.

We lay a strict administrative foundation. Through RMIS integration, we verify that every motor carrier possesses an active "Carrier of Property" authority (MC Number), a compliant USDOT track record, active BOC-3 process agent filings, and current Unified Carrier Registration (UCR).
Your cargo's financial security is non-negotiable. We require and verify strict FMCSA-mandated Public Liability Insurance (BIPD) ranging from $750,000 to $5,000,000 depending on the commodity, backed by direct BMC-91X filings. Furthermore, we mandate a minimum of $100,000 in active Cargo Insurance for every load dispatched.
A safe truck requires a qualified professional behind the wheel. We ensure carriers maintain meticulous Driver Qualification (DQ) standards, including valid Commercial Driver’s Licenses (CDL) for the correct vehicle class, active DOT Medical Examiner’s Certificates, and strict compliance with the FMCSA Drug & Alcohol Clearinghouse.
Paperwork alone is not enough; we require physical proof of roadworthiness prior to onboarding or dispatch. Our proprietary audit mandates carriers submit current, date-stamped photographic evidence of:
Maintenance Logs: Submission of recent vehicle maintenance records to confirm DOT compliance and mechanical reliability.
Compliance is monitored throughout the transit lifecycle. We partner exclusively with carriers who maintain up-to-date Annual Periodic Inspections and handle all multi-jurisdictional taxation (IFTA/IRP) seamlessly, ensuring zero regulatory delays at weigh stations.
We do not rely on guesswork or blind transits. Urban Logistics TMG requires strict adherence to FMCSA Hours of Service (HOS) regulations via Electronic Logging Devices (ELD). Furthermore, we mandate active GPS tracking integration from the moment of dispatch until the final drop, ensuring you receive continuous, real-time location updates on your freight.
The job is not complete until the paperwork is securely in your hands. We enforce a zero-tolerance communication protocol. Drivers are required to provide check-calls at all transit milestones. Upon delivery, carriers must digitally remit pristine, scanned copies of all Bills of Lading (BOL), Proof of Delivery (POD), weight tickets, and lumper receipts to our corporate office within 24 hours, ensuring you can process your supply chain financials without delay.
Passing our vetting process isn't a simple "yes or no"—it’s a measurement of complete operational quality. A carrier's grade is dependent on both their upfront compliance and their real-time performance.

Exceeds all RMIS and physical audit requirements, holding premium insurance ($250k+ Cargo) and 3+ years of active authority. Operationally, these carriers accept ELD/GPS tracking immediately, proactively communicate during transit, and submit flawless, flat-scanned PDF copies of the BOL/POD to our corporate office within 2 hours of delivery.
Meets all standard 5-point vetting requirements perfectly ($100k Cargo) and passes the physical photo audit. Operationally, they accept tracking prior to pickup, complete required check-calls, and submit legible copies of the BOL and POD within the standard 24-hour window.
Legally compliant, but requires heavy oversight. This includes carriers with less than 6 months of authority, minor cosmetic wear on equipment, pushback on ELD tracking (forcing manual check-calls), or those who consistently take 48+ hours to submit required paperwork. Requires secondary management approval prior to load assignment.
Fails RMIS monitoring, displays unsafe equipment (bald tires, dashboard warning lights), refuses ELD tracking, or falsifies logs and paperwork. Immediate "Do Not Use" status. Zero exceptions.
